Why Taji Learning

Not a one-size-fits-all education

Most homeschool programmes replace a school with another school. Taji Learning is different — it starts with who your child actually is, and builds outward from there. The result is a learning environment where a future engineer, a future architect, and a future fashion designer can all thrive in the same room, because the framework is flexible enough to hold all three.

Founded by Anastasia Wanja, a trained educator with three years of CBC classroom experience, Taji Learning is not a service. It is a commission — designed from first principles, for this child, in this family, headed toward this future.

i

Learning by Making

Learners build, design, present, debate, investigate, and solve — not memorise. Every session ends with something made: an idea tested, a skill proven, a concept fully embodied.

ii

Wholly Individual

There is no standard programme. Your child's pathway is designed around their interests, their pace, and the future they are growing toward — compatible with CBC, Cambridge, IGCSE, IB, or fully bespoke.

iii

Communication First

Speaking, writing, presenting, and listening are the foundation — not extras. A brilliant idea that cannot be expressed clearly goes nowhere. Every learner leaves Taji able to speak at any table.

iv

Character by Design

Responsibility, independence, courage, and intellectual honesty are built into the daily structure — not delivered as a Friday afternoon lesson. Character at Taji is architectural.

Inside the Studio

Three learners. Three entirely different futures.

This is what learner-centred education actually looks like — three real children, each on a completely different path within the same structured, project-based framework.

Future Engineer

W.

Age 11

Outgoing, instinctively hands-on. She builds paper towers, bridges, and wallets without being asked. Strong in mathematics, grasps concepts fast — and brings the same focused energy to engineering problems as she does to everything she loves.

Future Architect

M.

Age 15

Thoughtful, artistic, highly responsible. Her confidence and language have grown significantly since joining Taji Learning — a quiet and powerful example of what a safe, intentional learning environment produces over time.

Future Fashion Designer

S.

Age 14

Expressive, socially confident, already thinking in terms of presentation and audience. She recently designed a dress for her own career day — unprompted, self-directed, entirely her own idea.

What We Cover

A full learning ecosystem

Mathematics

From arithmetic foundations through algebra, geometry, percentages, and applied mathematics — taught as a thinking tool, not just an examination subject.

English & Communication

Speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, professional vocabulary, and presentation skills — with Saturday sessions dedicated entirely to communication and public speaking.

Science & Technology

Scientific thinking woven through projects — structures, forces, materials science, and engineering challenges, connected directly to each learner's future pathway.

Enterprise & Sales Lab

Real entrepreneurial skills: costing, pricing, product descriptions, social media marketing, and sales pitches — built around products learners actually design and sell.

Morning Circle

Every day opens with a learner-led session — reflections, debates, current events, and leadership activities that build confidence and listening skills over time.

Civic & Character Education

Constitutional values, arms of government, children's rights, and leadership — woven into discussion rather than delivered as a separate subject.

For Families

The Personalised Curriculum Commission

A custom education plan, built entirely around your child. Not a template. Not a framework off a shelf. A commission — designed by a trained educator who will know your child before a single lesson begins.

Compatible with any curriculum framework — CBC, Cambridge, IGCSE, IB, blended, or fully interest-led.

i

Discovery Session (90 min)

An in-depth conversation about your child — their personality, interests, strengths, and your family's goals. Scheduled within days of your enquiry.

ii

Learner Profile & Programme Document

A written plan covering your child's intellectual fingerprint, future-oriented themes, and a subject pathway designed specifically for them.

iii

Weekly Schedule Template

A realistic learning rhythm built around the time your family actually has — not an aspirational structure that collapses by week two.

iv

Starter Resource Pack

Two to four weeks of sample lesson activities and a development journal to track progress from day one.

v

Onboarding & Handover Session

A final hour to walk through the complete commission together — so your family begins with clarity, confidence, and full momentum.

The Commission

Pricing is shared during the Discovery Session, tailored to your child's programme.

I left full-time classroom teaching to found Taji Learning because I kept watching the same thing happen: the children who needed the most — more time, more patience, a different pace, a chance to follow their own curiosity — were the ones the system had the least room for.

A classroom of thirty. A fixed timetable. A syllabus that moves whether or not every child is ready to move with it. I know that system from the inside. I left it to build something different — a place where a child's pace, interests, and goals come first, not last.
